A dedicated channel showing the top Spanish action has launched as a stand-alone channel on the Sky and Virgin platforms – and the first two weeks of action is being shown for FREE.

LaLigaTV will screen every game from Spain’s top division live to UK audiences (apart from those which kick-off in the 3pm Saturday black-out period where no games are allowed to be shown from any football competition).

It will be shown free-to-air for the first two weeks meaning two rounds of LaLiga action will be available at no extra cost to all 8.5million Sky TV subscribers.

Matches in that period available for free include Real Betis v Real Sociedad, Barcelona v Granada, Real Valladolid v Real Madrid and Sevilla v Granada.

After the freeview period, LaLigaTV will be available at £5.99 a month as a stand-alone channel or £11.99 a month when bundled in the Premier Sports 1 & 2 channels which also show Serie A, Dutch and Scottish Cup football.

The new channel is part of the three-year deal Premier stuck to shown LaLiga games in the UK.

As well as live games, LaLiga carries daily studio chat and analysis shows including Viva LaLiga, LaLiga World, LaLiga LIVE and The LaLigaShow.

LaLiga TV is broadcasting now on Sky channel 435 and Virgin channel 554.
