Barnsley v Leeds LIVE on Sky Sports red button/app
It’s been confirmed that the Yorkshire derby between Barnsley and Leeds United will be available on the Sky Sports red button and app on Sunday (September 15).
The match wasn’t selected for live broadcast by Sky, but moved to the Sunday kick-off with a 12.30pm kick-off on police advice. Under the terms of Sky’s TV deal with the EFL they are able to show games which are outside the 3pm Saturday window on the red button/app with the agreement of the participating clubs, but are restricted to showing limited coverage with just one camera angle and no action replays.
It will add to an already busy EFL weekend on Sky with Danny Cowley’s debut as Huddersfield Town manager against Sheffield Wednesday the main Sky Sports match on Sunday with a 12noon kick-off.
Derby v Cardiff is being screened live on Friday night and the clash of promotion rivals Fulham and West Brom is the Saturday lunchtime Sky offering.
